Comarch Software und Beratung AG (ISIN: DE000A1KRMR8 und DE000A1KRMU2), a subsidiary of the Krakow-based international IT group Comarch S.A., maintained its high level of investment in software development during the first half of 2011. With an average sales cycle of six to nine months for ERP software, the product innovations, brought to market in spring have not yet been reflected in software sales and the associated consulting revenues. Total Group revenues came to 14.7 million euro in the first six months of the year (previous year: 18.2).

The business unit standard software - licensing and service fees for standard software products - achieved sales of 7.5 million euro (previous year: 8.6) in the first half of 2011. In the second quarter of 2011, software revenues were 3.9 million euro (Q2/2010: 4.4).

The business unit consulting - consulting and programming services for the implementation and support of standard software - achieved revenues of 5.2 million euro in the first half of 2011 (previous year: 5.9). Besides a lower quantity of new sales of the ERP software this decline is explained by the completion of a major project in 2010. In the second quarter of 2011, consulting revenues were 2.4 million euro (Q2/2010: 2.6).

Sales revenues for the business unit system integration - IT infrastructure hardware and services - came in at 2.0 million euro (previous year: 3.7). This business unit supplies server and storage systems, network technologies, security and high availability solutions, virtualization solutions and data center services. In the second quarter of 2011, system integration sales were 0.9 million euro (Q2/2010: 2.4).

Comarch Software und Beratung AG posted an operating result before taxes, interest and depreciation (EBITDA) of -2.2 million euro for the first half of 2011 (previous year: -1.1). The operating result (EBIT) was -4.1 million euro (previous year: -2.3). The result from normal business activities (EBT) for the first six months was also -4.1 million euro (previous year: -2.3). Net income was -4.0 million euro (previous year: -2.3). These results reflect the continuing high investment in product development. At 0.9 million euro (previous year: 0.9), only a small part was capitalized under IFRS. The result includes goodwill amortization of 0.5 million euro and special operational expenditure of 0.3 million.

The Management Board of Comarch Software und Beratung AG is anticipating revenues for 2011 to be below those of 2010 with a loss slightly below last year's level.

In line with the resolutions of the general meeting held on June 8, 2011 the capital stock was reduced from 6,480,000.00 euro to 2,160,000.00 euro on July 26, 2011 and on August 9, 2011 the Management Board decided to increase the company's capital by up to 4,320,000.00 euro.
