Wienerberger AG: National and international awards for Wienerberger reports

Vienna (pta008/04.10.2013/09:00 UTC+2) National and international rankings confirm the high quality of Wienerberger's communications
- 1st place for the 2012 sustainability report in the trend Austrian Annual Reporting Award
- Gold Awards for the 2012 annual report at the ARC Awards in the categories "overall annual report" and "chairman's letter"
- Best Austrian annual report in the "Annual Report on Annual Reports" ranking

The strong commitment to maximum transparency and quality that underscores reporting by Wienerberger AG was again confirmed in 2013 with numerous awards in national and international rankings. At the trend Austrian Annual Reporting Awards, Wienerberger was recognized as the winner in the category "sustainability reports" and ranked among the top companies with fourth place for its 2012 annual report. At the international ARC Awards, Wienerberger received Gold Awards in the categories "overall annual report" and "chairman's letter". The independent expert jury for the "Annual Report on Annual Reports" - one of the most challenging international rankings - ranked Wienerberger's 2012 annual report 14th among 400 reports after global players like Adidas, Volvo and Elektrolux, and gave the report an "A" rating (the second highest level after "A+"). That represents the best results for an Austrian company.

Intensive financial communications and open dialog are key to success
Heimo Scheuch, CEO of Wienerberger AG, expressed his pleasure over these results: "For many years, Wienerberger has been committed to intensive financial communications with respect to transparency, Corporate Governance and the provision of extensive information on the business units of the Wienerberger Group. An open dialog with our stakeholders and their satisfaction represent the focus of our activities and are the key to our success. Of course, it is a special highlight when our efforts are recognized by national and international experts in financial communications."
