conwert Immobilien Invest SE: conwert to appoint Clemens Schneider as CEO

Vienna, 27 November 2013 (pta026/27.11.2013/13:54 UTC+1) The Administrative Board of conwert Immobilien Invest SE, traded on the Austrian ATX, will appoint Clemens Schneider as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective as of 1 February 2014.

The Administrative Board formed a personnel committee to manage the search for a CEO in July 2013, headed by Franz Pruckner as the committee chair and Eveline Steinberger-Kern as deputy chair. The personnel committee has mandated consultancy firm Spencer Stuart with the search for a new CEO. In this selection process Clemens Schneider has prevailed in a strong group of candidates.

Clemens Schneider (49) is currently an Executive Board Member of the Austrian Rail-Holding AG and Sozialversicherungspensionskasse AG. His previous positions include seven years as Secretary General of the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB), where he was responsible for managing the finances and assets, as well as investments and real estate.

As previously announced, the Chairman of the Administrative Board Johannes Meran will step back from operational responsibilities after an appropriate handover period and will also resign from the Administrative Board at the 13th Annual General Meeting on 7 May 2014.
