TELES AG Informationstechnologien: Focussing on software based solutions as core competency

Berlin (pta032/30.06.2015/19:35 UTC+2) TELES AG has resolved to fundamentally restructure the company: the business unit Access Solutions will be discontinued. TELES is focussing on the growing sector of software based solutions for network operators.

Continuing decrease in revenues due to unsatisfactory sales numbers for Mobile as well as for VoIP Gateway products have severely impacted TELES. TELES is reacting to this crisis with three major packages of measures:
- Definition of end of sale for the VoIP Gateway product line
- Continuation of the mobile gateway product line by the US telecom service provider UPM Telecom. UPM will acquire inventories, name and distribution rights of the product lines CELLX and CELLX Pro, as well as qualified personnel
- Restructuring of the remaining business units Carrier Solutions and Enterprise Solutions, which are merged into a single business unit Core Solutions. To supplement the successful products Softswitch and Application Server, TELES acquired Desktop and Mobile Clients. Thus, TELES holds an excellent software based portfolio for carriers and telecommunication service providers.
