- Bangladesh plant of DEI as top quality performance supplier
iQ Power Licensing AG (ISIN: CH0268536338; WKN/Security Number: A14M1C; Symbol: IQL) a developer and marketer of technologies for environmentally friendly and technologically innovative starter batteries for motor vehicles and licenses in these technologies, reports the following status:
Discover Energy International (DEI) announces continued positive feedback from customers in the Gulf area. The latest testimonial came from the owner of one of the larger taxi fleets in the United Arab Emirates, Tawasul Autoservice LLC. They have reported zero defects and 100% reliability of the batteries from Bangladesh plant with the iQP-2 mixing technology of iQ Power since installing them in 541 vehicles early this year.
Taxi fleets are the toughest customers in the automotive market and the UAE is one of the toughest climates for automobiles in the world, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius at times and most of the year over 30 degrees. Taxis use the battery continually due to long idle times and running the air conditioning at maximum 24 hours a day. Even premium batteries experience failure modes in short time due to this heavy use.
Brands with iQ Power technology inside are picking up many professional fleet customers who put performance over price. The iQ Power brand is priced at the higher end of the market. Therefore the performance must be superb to gain market share.
As such market feedbacks come in only sporadically, Bob Sullivan, CEO of iQ Power Licensing AG and interim CEO of iQ Power Asia, was very grateful that a customer would take time to write a grateful letter and send pictures of the Discover Energy Mixtech battery with iQ Power technology in his taxis.
Batteries with iQ Power technology are designed to generate better performance in Start-Stop applications and to meet the growing demands of electronic usage in vehicles today. Electrolyte mixing is the first significant innovation to the flooded starter battery in decades. Automatic mixing of electrolyte inside the battery ensures uniform acid density for higher sustained performance throughout the entire life of the battery. This prolongs plate life by eliminating acid stratification and thermal gradients, delivering greater material utilization for a lower cost per cycle over conventional batteries. The patented technology was awarded the coveted Automechanika innovation award 1st prize in 2010.
