3U HOLDING AG: Approval for the wind farm project Schlenzer under the Federal Immission Control Act obtained

Marburg (pta008/01.06.2016/07:30 UTC+2) 3U ENERGY AG, a 100% subsidiary of 3U HOLDING AG (ISIN DE0005167902) has received the approval under the BimSchG (Federal Immission Control Act) for its wind farm project Schlenzer as announced at the AGM on May 25.

The authorization procedure under the Federal Immission Control Act is a very challenging process, because all environmental impact of an installation must be considered and assessed. The approval is the most important milestone in the whole process of a wind farm development project.

Developed by 3U ENERGY PE GmbH, the wind park project consists of 2 to be erected wind turbines from the manufacturer GE, type GE 2.75-120, each with a rated power of 2.75 MW, a hub height of 139 m and a rotor diameter of 120 m.

The project management for the construction of the wind farm is carried out by 3U ENERGY PE GmbH. Subject to possible delays due to appeals by third parties the foundation for the wind turbines is to be laid in August and the delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled for the end of October. The start of operation can take place then at the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017.
