Gentlemen's Equity S.A.: Gentlemen's Equity S.A. acquires wooden toys producer Scalino

Production sites and brand owners change

Lisboa (pta041/30.06.2016/14:29 UTC+2) Gentlemen's Equity S.A., a listed investment holding based in Portugal (ISIN: PTGVE1AE0009) has taken over the wooden toy production and brand of Swiss Scalino AG with immediate effect. The transaction includes the operative business with the inventory, the production facilities in Gunmattingen (CH) and the suppliers Scalino Toys d.o.o. with offices in Vranje and Bujanovac (Serbia). The purchase price was not disclosed.

Gentlemen's Equity is focused on corporate investments in sports and entertainment and will generate further growth particularly in export with the brand and "Swiss Made" products of Scalino. Therefore both - existing naming rights and the exclusive designs of modular systems - go over to the buyer.

The transaction in Switzerland seeks no assets acquisition within the meaning of Art. 181 OR, while the main supplier Scalino Toys d.o.o. e is purchased in Serbia, including company, inventory, assets and liabilities. "Scalino fits in our investment focus," explains GE Chairman Nikola Trajanov the background of the acquisition. "Swiss Made quality wooden toys products have immense potential, not only in Asia but worldwide."
