Zug, Switzerland, 01 March 2017 - iQ Power Licensing AG (ISIN: CH0268536338; WKN/Security Number: A14M1C; Symbol: IQL) a developer and marketer of technologies for environmentally friendly and technologically innovative starter batteries for motor vehicles and licenses in these technologies, announces several important developments of interest to investors.
The licensee factory of iQ Power Asia in South Korea continues to make progress in expanding its capacity to meet the large demand from its key customer. The growing increase in capacity will make a significant contribution not only to shortening lead times and increasing customer satisfaction, but will also contribute to making the South Korean factory economically strong.
Underscoring the overall positive developments, the CEO of iQ Power Licensing, Bob Sullivan, announced that he has purchased more convertible bonds of the company from a private investor. CEO Sullivan purchased bonds of iQ Power Licensing AG worth EUR 50.000 at a premium to nominal value. As a result, the CEO has recently acquired bonds worth a total of EUR 150.000.
Bob Sullivan stated, "Despite some recent negative share price movements, which are not explainable, the company is moving in a continuously positive direction. With my further investment I underline my faith in the good future prospects for the company. The current share price does not, in my personal opinion, reflect the true value of the company."
General market trends continue to be in favor of the iQ Power technology. Well-researched statements from industry professionals and automobile manufacturers made at the recent lead battery conference in Germany show that well over 90% of the growing new vehicle production will remain using 12V lead acid batteries throughout the next decade and beyond with advanced lead acid batteries grabbing major market share. The majority of engines will be start-stop and similar technologies, requiring high performance batteries with long cycle-life.
About the iQ Power Technology
Batteries with iQ Power technology are designed to generate better performance in Start-Stop applications and to meet the growing demands of electronic usage in vehicles today, is the first significant innovation to the flooded starter battery in decades. Automatic mixing of electrolyte inside the battery ensures uniform acid density for higher sustained performance throughout the entire life of the battery. This prolongs plate life by eliminating acid stratification and thermal gradients, delivering greater material utilization for a lower cost per cycle over conventional batteries. The patented technology was awarded the coveted Automechanika innovation award 1st prize in 2010.
