Altech Advanced Materials AG: Preliminary annual result as of 31.12.2020

Frankfurt am Main (pta024/15.01.2021/18:20 UTC+1) Altech Advanced Materials AG ("AAM / the Company") (FRA: AMA1) closed its fiscal year 2020 with a preliminary net loss (individual financial statements according to HGB) of approximately 621 TEUR (previous year: approx. -408 TEUR).

The preliminary annual result includes other operating income of around 24 TEUR (previous year: around 138 TEUR) as well as personnel expenses of around 160 TEUR (previous year: 114 TEUR), write-downs on marketable securities of around 2 TEUR (previous year: around 77 TEUR) and other operating expenses of around 474 TEUR (previous year: around 370 TEUR). The financial result amounted to approximately -8 TEUR (previous year: approximately 16 TEUR).

Other operating expenses mainly comprise costs for legal advice (126 TEUR), costs in connection with one of the members of the Board of Management (115 TEUR), costs for capital market listing and communication (79 TEUR), Supervisory Board remuneration (90 TEUR), and financial statement/audit costs of (26 TEUR).

The preliminary balance sheet as of December 31, 2020 in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) shows equity of approximately 969 TEUR (previous year: 486 TEUR).

In the forecast report of the last half-yearly financial statements for 2020, the Executive Board assumed a loss of around 600 TEUR. This expectation was underperformed by an estimated 21 TEUR.

The aforementioned preliminary result is based on the preliminary valuation of the past 2020 financial year carried out by the Executive Board on January 15, 2021. The figures stated in this announcement are subject to the final preparation of the annual financial statements, the audit of the financial statements and the approval of the annual financial statements by the Supervisory Board.
