SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Concentrates Production Capacities at Company Headquarters

• Production of wet-chemical process equipment to be relocated to Kahl
• R & D and design for wet-chemical equipment remain in Fürstenfeldbruck

Kahl am Main, June 22, 2022 - The SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG plans to reduce its activities at the Fürstenfeldbruck site and to relocate the production and commissioning of wet-chemical process equipment to Kahl am Main. In detail, the planned concentration of manufacturing comprises the production of wet-chemical equipment, the related functions purchasing and production planning, assembly, and commissioning as well as quality assurance. With this step SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES intends to reduce costs and to continue to grow as a competitive equipment supplier.

Wet chemical plants for medical technology have been developed and produced in Kahl am Main for many years. In addition to the MEDLINE type process systems for cleaning and coating contact lenses, the assembly and commissioning of SILEX III production systems for high-performance solar cells are now to be carried out at the company's headquarters in Kahl am Main. There will be no direct impact on customers because of the planned relocation. With the newly developed generation of the SILEX III with a capacity of 13,000 wafers/hour and a gross capacity of up to
700 MW / machine as well as the broad range of products in the coating technology SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is sustainably committed to the solar market and the further development of the products in this area.

The current production site in Fürstenfeldbruck is to be converted into a competence center for wet chemistry. The functions of mechanical and electrical design, development and process engineering are to remain in the Fürstenfeldbruck region and will be combined and continued as a competence center for wet chemistry.
