S IMMO AG: Double award at EPRA sBPR Awards 2022

S IMMO's concrete efforts in the area of sustainability are paying off. The company received both the Bronze Award and the Most Improved Award for its non-financial reporting in the 2021 Annual Report at the EPRA sBPR Awards 2022. In addition, the real estate company recently presented a comprehensive ESG strategy.

The increasing professionalisation and greater commitment of S IMMO with regard to ESG are bearing further fruit. The Sustainability Awards, which have been presented annually by the European Real Estate Association (EPRA) since 2012, pursue the goal of greater transparency in non-financial reporting in the real estate sector. S IMMO's double award at the EPRA sBPR Awards 2022 once again demonstrates and rewards the clear approach to which the company is committed as well as the transparent design of its non-financial communication.

In the course of the presentation of S IMMO's ESG strategy, which is also available for download on the company's website, 49 goals spread across various ESG focus areas were announced. From these, S IMMO has defined 15 core goals. In the area of the environment these include, for example, a 25% reduction in energy intensity by 2030 (base year 2021) and a 30% reduction in property-related market-based greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (base year 2021). With regard to social issues, the introduction of binding green leases and a 50% share of women among employees and senior managers by 2025 are among the core goals, while in terms of governance, these include the alignment of 25% of the variable Management Board remuneration to ESG criteria by 2025 and the establishment of sustainable supply chain management processes by 2025 among others. The certification of at least 40% of the commercial main lettable area according to BREEAM, DGNB, LEED or WELL by 2025 is an overarching goal.
