Zumtobel Group AG: Zumtobel Group's Sustainability performance recognised by indices VÖNIX and MSCI

For the 15th time in a row, the Zumtobel Group is listed in the Austrian sustainability index VÖNIX and also achieved a renewed "AA" rating from MSCI. The Austrian lighting company continued to make progress in its sustainability activities in the 2022/23 business year. The increasing implementation of the circular economy in product development, the certification of seven out of ten production sites according to the ISO 45001 standard and the commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative are just a few of the succsessfully realised actions in the past business year – achievements that were recognised at a national and international level by the sustainability indices VÖNIX and MSCI.

VÖNIX: The 15th listing in a row
As one of 20 Austrian publicly traded companies that demonstrate leadership in terms of ecological and social activities, the Zumtobel Group is again included in the Austrian sustainability benchmark in 2023/24. In an annual evaluation of the VBV Austrian Sustainability Index (VÖNIX), the listed companies are carefully selected by Mag. Reinhard Friesenbichler Unternehmensberatung (rfu), VBV-Vorsorgekasse and the Vienna Stock Exchange. This index is measured on the basis of a model with ecological and social exclusion as well as positive criteria. The VÖNIX is one of the world's first national sustainability indices and has been compiled since June 2005.

International recognition by the MSCI
On an international level, the Zumtobel Group's sustainability activities were recognised by the MSCI rating agency: the "AA" rating was maintained as a result of the Austrian lighting company's consistently good performance in the areas of environmental, social and governance. With the renewed award of this status, the Zumtobel Group continues to rank among the companies that are leading the way in dealing with risks and opportunities related to ESG in the industry. The standard takes aspects such as the management of liability risks in connection with potential harmful emissions and waste into account.
