Erste Group Bank AG: End of share buyback - Publication in compliance with section 7 para 4 Publication Ordinance (VeröffentlichungsVO) 2018

Based on the authorisation granted by the 30th Annual General Meeting on 12 May 2023 pursuant to section 65 para 1 no. 8 of the Austrian Stock Corporation Act (AktG) and published on 12 May 2023, the Management Board of Erste Group Bank AG resolved on 1 August 2023 to buy own bearer shares (ordinary shares) in Erste Group Bank AG – subject to the consent of the Supervisory Board, which was given on 9 August 2023 – at market price both on regulated markets and multilateral trading facilities ("share buyback programme") during the period from 16 August 2023 to 29 June 2024. Overall, the share buyback programme provided for the buyback of up to 15,000,000 shares (but no more than an equivalent of EUR 300 million), which corresponds to about 3.49% of the share capital of Erste Group Bank AG, at a price of not below EUR 2 per share and not higher than 50% above the weighted average share price based on the trading volume at the Vienna Stock Exchange on the last 20 trading days prior to each purchase.
The Management Board of Erste Group AG hereby informs that the share buyback programme was completed on 16 February 2024. Overall, 8,887,092 Erste Group Bank AG shares were purchased.
