MS Industrie AG: MS Industrie AG is planning a strategic partnership with Schunk Group for the "MS Ultrasonic" segment

The management board of MS Industrie AG (WKN 585518; ISIN DE0005855183) informs that Schunk Sonosystems GmbH, Wettenberg, wants to acquire a stake in MS Ultraschall Technologie GmbH, Spaichingen, with a simple majority. A corresponding contract was signed today. The economic implementation of the transaction is still subject to usual formal approvals and is expected to happen during July 2024.

Schunk Sonosystems GmbH is part of the Schunk Group based in Heuchelheim / Hessen, an internationally active technology group with around 9,600 employees in 26 countries and a total turnover of over EUR 1.6 billion and is a specialist for machines and systems in the field of ultrasonic metal welding – complementary to MS Ultrasonic with its expertise in ultrasonic plastic welding.

After completion of the transaction, the MS Ultrasonic segment would be fully consolidated in the Schunk Group. In the case of the MS Industrie Group, the remaining strategic participation would be consolidated using the "at equity" method.
