The presentation of the new FOX portable fire pump from Rosenbauer is one of the highlights at the international firefighting trade show FLORIAN in Dresden: The new model delivers even more performance while remaining the absolute benchmark in its class in terms of weight, user-friendliness and equipment options.

The FOX from Rosenbauer is still the most successful portable fire pump in accordance with EN 14466 and has proven itself successfully in the toughest firefighting operations all over the world. The new model of the FOX is a worthy successor: with even more performance, low weight and the usual user-friendliness.

More engine output, higher efficiency

With the new FOX, the standard PFPN 10-2000 of EN 14466 is fulfilled for the first time: The flow rate of 2,050 l/min at 10 bar and a suction lift of three meters makes it the strongest FOX of all time and the most powerful portable pressure pump in its class. For comparison, the FOX unveiled in 2016 transports 1,750 l/min under the same conditions.

To achieve this, the engineers at Rosenbauer built on the proven basis of the 4th-generation FOX with the BRP-Rotax 3-cylinder motor and enhanced it in many details. Thanks to improved cooling capacity with a larger fan and adapted airflow, the BRP-Rotax motor delivers even more performance. Furthermore, the efficiency of the pump unit has been increased once again, for instance by using the same impeller as in the N20 in-built pump from Rosenbauer. With all these enhancements, the lightest carrying capacity pump in its class has been created once again: It weighs only 172 kg on the scale - ready for operation in accordance with EN 14466.

More performance – more safety

The high output of the new FOX is not only a key figure for statistics, but also brings decisive advantages in operation: being able to pump more water over a long distance is the core task of a portable fire pump. "With the new FOX model, we are once again setting standards in the combination of top performance, user-friendly operation and low weight, based on the most successful portable fire pump in its class. The new FOX once stands out as a leader in its category," says Roland Weber, product manager at Rosenbauer.

Assistance with operation

Operation is carried out via the 3.5-inch RBC LCS color display and with the user-friendliness associated with Rosenbauer. The control unit not only impresses with the fully automatic priming process, but also provides information on operation and, if necessary, troubleshooting.

There are also new lighting features, such as a new working light. Optionally, the new FOX can also be equipped with enhanced lighting integrated into the carrying frame using LED strips, ensuring improved visibility during manual transport.

The new FOX model can be ordered from Rosenbauer from October 13. The first portable fire pumps will then be delivered by the end of 2024, depending on the order intake.
