Von Roll Holding AG: Von Roll wins first serial order for its new developed potting products

Breitenbach, February 9, 2022 – One of the world's largest battery manufacturers, based in South Korea, has now qualified the latest potting resin from Von Roll for mass production of truck batteries for the first time. The Von Roll product clearly outperformed the competition in all technical requirements. In addition, it is based on a particularly environmentally friendly formulation without solvents and critical hazardous chemicals.

Potting resins play an important role in the construction of high-performance drive batteries in the rapidly growing e-mobility market. They facilitate effective heat dissipation and thus increase the performance and lifespan of batteries.

Alexander Neumann, Sales Manager Resin Systems, explains: "We are very proud that our innovative resin system came out as the clear winner of this very demanding qualification process. The successful launch into the market for potting compounds in vehicle batteries will create completely new sales potential in the double-digit million range for us in the future."

The new potting resin is produced near Turin at the Trofarello site, which reached full certification to the most demanding quality standards in the automotive industry last year.
