Erste Group Bank AG: Peter Bosek to succeed Willi Cernko as CEO from July 2024

Erste Group Bank AG (Erste Group) announces that Willi Cernko (67) will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Erste Group at 30 June 2024 and that today the Supervisory Board has appointed Peter Bosek to succeed him, subject to regulatory approval by the European Central Bank. Peter Bosek (55) has worked with Erste Group for 25 years and has served in numerous board-level positions at Erste Group, ensuring strategic continuity. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Luminor Bank AS in Tallinn, Estonia.

Peter Bosek will step down from all other mandates before assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer at Erste Group Bank AG.

Following his tenure as CEO, Willi Cernko will assume the role of advisor to Erste Group until year-end-2024.
