ItN Nanovation AG: ItN Nanovation AG and SafBon open production building in Nantong

Saarbruecken, 01 March 2017 (pta019/01.03.2017/10:59 UTC+1) *SafBon, Shanghai has opened the new building for the production of ceramic flatsheet membranes of ItN in Nantong / China in a ribbon-cutting-ceremony Yesterday.
*The installation of the production machines will start immediately.
*With a capacity of 60,000m^2 p.a. in the first phase production will start in August 2017. Phase two with a production capacity of 140,000m^2 p.a. will start beginning of 2018.
*SafBon will invest a total of Euro 60 million into the new production plant within the next twelve months.

ItN Nanovation AG (ISIN DE000A0JL461) together with its new major shareholder SafBon ensures, that the future growth of the company is backed up with the corresponding production capacity. Yesterday, the new factory building has been taken over with a ribbon-cutting-ceremony in the city of Nantong (2 hours drive away from Shanghai) and from now on the installation of the machines already under delivery can start.

This new production plant will be built up in a close cooperation between SafBon- and ItN-engineers and it will be based on latest know-how on technical ceramics. Based on the capacity of the second phase, ItN alone with membranes will be able to achieve annual turn-over of more than Euro 30 million. This high capacity is required to fulfil the high demands on ceramic flatsheet membranes of actual projects already in the pipeline.

SafBon / Shanghai will be investing approximately Euro 60 million within the coming 12 months into the new production plant, which will be a subsidiary of SafBon Water Services / Shanghai called "Jiangsu ItN Membrane Technology Co. Ltd.".

All membranes will be produced in Nantong in accordance to German quality standards. With this high level capacity and the cost advantages of the location ItN will strengthen its competitiveness significantly.
