Dominik Burkart exhibits his South African inspired art at the SWISSARTEXPO
Dominik Burkart enriches this year's SWISSARTEXPO with an extract from his diverse repertoire
Zurich (ptp016/10.08.2020/11:00) The artist Dominik Burkart announces today that his original artworks will be represented at the SWISSARTEXPO from 20 - 24 August 2020 in Zurich's main station. His current art catalogue will also be available to visitors on site. The SWISSARTEXPO is an art festival where artists of all styles come together to create a diverse and colourful exhibition in one of the most visited halls in Europe in the heart of Zurich.
Dominik Burkart already used the walls of his room as a child for his first painting attempts, where he proved his talent and skills for the first time. Born in South Africa, the fascination for this country and its breathtaking flora and fauna can still be felt in his works of art. When he was only two years old, his family moved back to Switzerland. The fascination for faraway places did not let go of him, however, which is why he again left his home after his training as a chef to travel around the globe. During his travels, he collected wonderful memories which have a decisive influence on his artistic work today.
Since 2019 he has been the proud owner of his own studio in Zug, where he carries out marvellous refinements on numerous objects with great attention to detail. Burkart's art ranges from sculptures to abstract paintings and life-like illustrations in all their graceful beauty. Happily at home with his wife in Merenschwand (AG), he dedicates himself completely to his passion and continuously creates dreamlike and imaginative works, without limiting his artistic freedom.
At the SWISSARTEXPO 2020 Dominik Burkart presents five wonderful works of art that give an insight into his experiences and show how much passion and energy he puts into his motifs. "Wild Dog, Kith Richards", "Mountain II, Lion Family on Military Puddle" and "Cheetah" are innovative paintings that impress with their sophisticated technique and gentle colour palette. Burkart expresses the inner and outer splendour of his motifs with an invigorating brushwork and gives the paintings a true soul. Of course, his recently published art catalogue will also be available on site to give visitors an even deeper insight into his diverse repertoire.
