Koenig & Bauer AG: Proceedings against former employee of the Swiss subsidiary terminated.

Koenig & Bauer AG (WKN: 719 350 / ISIN: DE0007193500) informs its investors for reasons of legal precaution that the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland has terminated proceedings against a former employee of the Swiss subsidiary by issuing a legally binding penalty order. The former employee was accused of having bribed public officials in Morocco and Egypt between 2005 and 2015. A suspended fine has been imposed on him. The Swiss subsidiary was not involved in the proceedings. 

In November 2015, the Swiss subsidiary had initiated self-disclosure proceedings with the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland due to deficits in corruption prevention, which were terminated in March 2017 (ad hoc disclosure of February 20, 2017). The events in Morocco were part of the concluded and legally binding self-disclosure proceedings. The Swiss subsidiary has no knowledge that any proceedings are pending against it that are the subject of the penalty order proceedings against the former employee. There are no indications that the proceedings against the former employee relate to the period after the self-disclosure was made. From today's perspective, the Group's results of operations and financial position are not negatively impacted by the concluded and legally binding proceedings against the former employee.
