QluPod AG: HealthTech start-up company with excellent future prospects

QluPod AG, based in Herisau in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, distributes a unique portable health monitoring device for six vital signs and programmes corresponding applications and software for it. Patients can measure blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen, body temperature and blood sugar comfortably at home or record an ECG. This area of telemedicine is the medicine of the future and offers companies like QluPod AG enormous growth potential.

Telemedicine - a market of the future: Aidan Burley takes over as Head of Marketing & Sales

In order to adequately meet the growing demand, the Board of Directors has decided to decisively strengthen the marketing and sales team with Aidan Burley, who will exclusively take care of this operational field of activity. With Aidan Burley, QluPod AG was able to gain an experienced management consultant and successful entrepreneur from the IT industry and ecommerce in the healthcare sector. Aidan previously worked with the NHS to build and deliver strategically aligned business change programmes to support the deployment of new NHS data and IT systems as part of the National Programme for IT. He also helped design the NHS 111 telephone service as an alternative to 999. In addition, during his time as a Member of the British Parliament, Aidan Burley was responsible, among other things, for helping to save his local hospital from planned closure by working with senior Health Ministers, including the Secretary of State for Health, to design ways to deliver other services from Cannock hospital. Based on his experience, Aidan Burley is certain that telemedicine is an area with great growth potential. "The telemedicine industry has grown by over 2,000% in the last three years and yet we are still in the early stages of enormous growth," he explains. This is also reflected in the fact that the EU Parliament is taking appropriate measures to strengthen telemedicine. Insurance companies also have to react in order to reduce costs in the health sector. QluPod AG is ready for this growth market with its mobile health monitoring device.
