Zumtobel AG: Board member Martin Brandt leaves lighting group

Dornbirn, Austria (pta015/23.07.2014/14:10 UTC+2) The Supervisory Board of Zumtobel AG has complied with the request of Martin Brandt, Board member and Chief Operating Officer of the organisation, to prematurely terminate his Management Board contract, which was scheduled to run until 30 April 2015, with effect from 31 July 2014.

Mr Martin Brandt had been appointed member of the Board on 1 September 2009 and was initially responsible for operational management of the lighting segment. In the past years, Martin Brandt focussed his activities in particular on management of the Thorn brand and on business in Asia. Most recently, he was in charge of Group Technology, Operations Lighting Brands and Corporate IT. These responsibilities will now be taken over by Ulrich Schumacher, CEO, and Karin Sonnenmoser, CFO, in addition to their existing duties.
