Brocade und Motorola kündigen strategische Partnerschaft an
München (pts018/15.10.2009/11:17) Brocade und die Enterprise Mobility Solutions Business Unit von Motorola kündigen heute ihre strategische Vereinbarung in den Bereichen Wirelesss LAN (WLAN), Voice-Over-WLAN, Mobile Unified Communications/Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC), Cloud Computing und Wireless Breitbandtechnologien an. Durch die Zusammenarbeit der beiden Marktführer erhalten Kunden hervorragende End-to-End-Lösungen, welche das Wachstum der Unternehmen unterstützt sowie die Netzwerke vereinfacht und die Produktivität steigert.
Durch die OEM Reseller-Vereinbarung wird Brocade Motorola Enterprise Wireless LAN-Lösungen sowie Motorola Wireless Security-Produkte als Ergänzung zur eigenen IP-Produktpalette unter der eigenen Marke vertreiben. Die strategische Partnerschaft integriert die Motorola Wireless LAN-Technologien mit den Brocade Wired Networking-Lösungen unter einem einheitlichen Management. Ebenso wird die Motorola AirDefense Security Suite in das Produktportfolio integriert um eine erweiterte Intrusion Prevention sowie zusätzliche Sicherheitsregeln für verkabelte und Wireless Netzwerke zu ermöglichen. Die Vereinbarung ist auch Grundlage einer neuen Kategorie von Wireless und Mobility Services für Service Provider, welche Cloud-Infrastrukturlösungen von Motorola und Brocade im Einsatz haben.
Das Ziel der Kooperation von Motorola und Brocade ist eine Revolution in der Entwicklung und dem Management von Enterprise Mobility-Lösungen durch die Nutzung von Cloud Computing Architekturen mit der Möglichkeit zur Nutzung von Voice-, Video- und Daten-Applikationen über jegliche Art von Netzwerk - gleich ob 3G, 4G oder WiFi. Cloud Computing Architekturen ermöglichen hoch skalierbare und sichere Wireless Networking-Lösungen der nächsten Generation sowie sehr leistungsfähige Wired Networking-, Speicher- und Computing-Plattformen.
Cloud Computing ermöglicht es Service Providern, eine Vielzahl von IT Klassen auch solchen Unternehmen anzubieten, die sie sich bisher nicht leisten oder diese nicht managen konnten. Diese Technologie reduziert erheblich die Komplexität von großen und verteilten Wireless Networking-Lösungen. Eine Cloud-basieret Architektur im Enterprise WLAN Umfeld bietet Vorteile durch reduzierte Anschaffungs- und Betriebskosten, Hochverfügbarkeit, dynamische Skalierbarkeit und ein vereinfachtes Management.
