New art style "Intensivism" at the SWISSARTEXPO
Angelina Damenia at the SWISSARTEXPO
Zürich, Switzerland (ptp021/09.08.2019/14:00) The Georgian artist Angelina Damenia announced today that in August 2019 she will show her artwork at the SWISSARTEXPO art festival as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 1.0. The iconic work "Shell" will be presented, providing a wonderful insight into the style and artistic work of Angelina Damenia. The exhibition will take place from 15th to 19th August 2019 in Zurich's Main Station Hall.
The artist Angelina Damenia is well known for her expressive oil paintings, whose unique style established a completely new style, "intensivism". Here landscapes, seasons, abstract motifs and many more are depicted in strong and bright colours and contrasts. The pictorial space is always dominated by an almost wild dynamic with which the motifs catch the eye of the viewer. Angelina Damenia's works of art often look like the gaze through blurred glasses, which both intensifies the chaotic dynamics of the pictures and leaves plenty of room for one's own imagination. The viewer is always urged to interpret forms and to let oneself be carried away into a fantastic world of thought by the artist's mostly colourful play of colours.
In 1989, the Georgian Ministry of Culture created a special commission to examine the work of the artist. The result of this commission was the admission of Angelina Damenia to the Academy of Fine Arts, without the appropriate entrance examination, with reference to her outstanding discoveries and knowledge in the field of painting, without any form of external intervention, guidance or control.
In addition, Angelina Damenia today announces the publication of her newly published art catalogue. In this catalogue she presents a variation of her typical works. This catalogue is convincing thanks to its high print quality and the unique copies it depicts.
