Sun Microsystems: 2. Quartal - 126 Millionen Dollar Nettogewinn

Wien (pts019/25.01.2007/10:48) Sun Microsystems meldet seine Ergebnisse des zweiten Quartals im Finanzjahr 2007, das am 31. Dezember 2006 endete. Der Umsatz im zweiten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2007 betrug 3,566 Milliarden Dollar. Dies entspricht einem Anstieg von 7 Prozent im Vergleich zu 3,337 Milliarden Dollar des zweiten Quartals im Geschäftsjahr 2006. Dies war vor allem guten Umsätzen bei den Internet-Servern mit Multi-Threading-Technologie und den Multiplattform-Servern auf x86-Basis sowie der Akzeptanz des Betriebssystems Solaris 10 zu verdanken. Der Erlös aus den Computersystemen stieg im Vorjahresvergleich um 14 Prozent. Damit wurde im vierten aufeinander folgenden Quartal ein Anstieg verzeichnet.

Der Nettogewinn beträgt auf Basis der US-Bilanzierungsmethode GAAP 126 Millionen Dollar oder 3 US-Cent je verwässerter Aktie. Im Vergleichsquartal 2006 war dies ein Nettoverlust von 223 Millionen Dollar oder 7 US-Cent je Aktie. Der Nettogewinn nach US-GAAP schließt dabei ein: 58 Millionen US- Dollar für aktienbezogene Vergütungsprogramme, 26 Millionen US- Dollar für Restrukturierung und der damit zusammenhängenden Wertminderung des Anlagevermögens und 4 Millionen Dollar daraus resultierende steuerliche Vorteile. Der Netto-Einfluss dieser vier Faktoren macht etwa 2 US-Cent je (verwässerter) Aktie aus. Der Cashflow im operativen Geschäft erreichte im zweiten Quartal des aktuellen Geschäftsjahres 153 Millionen Dollar. Die Summe an Wertpapieren und Barmitteln belief sich am Ende des Quartals auf 4, 837 Milliarden Dollar.
